Night photography requires an interesting subject, more attention to detail and plenty of patience, if you want to get the ideal image composition.
There are a few vital aspects you need to concentrate on while photographing the night skies. Tripod for instance is must, and using a remote control
or cable release is necessary as the shots usually take 30 seconds or more.

The lens should be set with the focal point at infinity, while taking landscapes or cityscapes. Manual mode is preferred over the auto focus as settings like the shutter exposure needs to be adjusted according to how bright and clear you want the picture to be. With practice, you will be able to get the right settings and take perfect shots.
